Engine Restore

4 cylinder $24.00 ... 266ml

6 cylinder $28.00 ... 370ml

8 cylinder $34.00 ... 473ml

Every vehicle's engine wears out as a result of friction during normal operation.

This friction causes wear of the cylinder walls which leads to compression loss.

This gradual loss in cylinder compression results in less engine power, sluggish acceleration, oil burning, exhaust smoking and poor fuel economy.

RESTORE Engine Restorer and Lubricant is a unique engine additive that repairs those worn-out areas in the cylinder wall thereby restoring cylinder compression and improving engine performance to nearly new original condition. RESTORE is the only product that contains the proprietary CSL formula. This technologically advanced formulation fills in and seals micro-leaks in the cylinder wall. The result is increased engine compression and more engine power. Independent lab tests prove that RESTORE really works to increase cylinder compression.

HOW RESTORE WORKS

Friction and heat cause wear of the cylinder walls inside every car's engine. As a result of this wear, compression leaks develop between piston rings and cylinder walls. This gradual loss in cylinder compression results in less engine power, sluggish acceleration, oil burning, exhaust smoking and poor fuel economy.

RESTORE Engine Restorer and Lubricant is a unique engine additive that fills and seals microscopic leaks in cylinder walls. Restore works to increase and balance compression across all cylinders which means a smoother running engine with more power, less oil burning and better fuel efficiency.

Each can of RESTORE contains billions of micro-particles of the proprietary formula (Copper 60%, Lead 40%, Silver <1%) suspended in a high performance motor oil.

Although RESTORE is added to the motor oil but it is not an oil additive. Why?
Simply, because an oil additive, by definition, is a product which is added to automotive oil in the crankcase with the intended purpose of modifying the oil characteristics such as viscosity, detergency, foaming, etc ...
RESTORE is not an oil additive in this sense. It is rather an engine additive because it acts on the engine itself playing a double role :

The particles fill scratches, grooves and other worn out areas between the piston and the cylinder wall in the engine.
The particles provide maximum natural lubrication due to their high percentage of lead even under very high temperatures.
The action of RESTORE reduces friction and rebuilds metal surfaces, which in turn restores lost power and reduces oil & fuel consumption.

It works effectively wherever friction and wear cuts scratches in metal surfaces, such as cylinder walls, crankshaft and bearings. As a result, RESTORE has been known to cure piston-slap, noisy tappets and even fledgling bottom-end knock.

PLEASE NOTE as miraculous as its properties may seem, RESTORE cannot repair broken parts such as cracked cylinder heads or re-plate bearings which have worn right down to the copper lining. If you are buying RESTORE to repair a problematic engine please ask your mechanic for a diagnosis of the fault before you commence treatment so that your expectations for RESTORE are not unrealistic.

WHAT IS RESTORE AND WHY SHOULD I USE IT?
Every vehicle's engine wears out as a result of friction during normal operation. This friction causes wear of the cylinder walls which leads to compression loss. Lost compression results in your engine having less power --- it runs poorly and has sluggish acceleration. It also can cause increased oil burning, exhaust smoking, and poor fuel economy. RESTORE Engine Restorer and Lubricant is a unique engine additive that repairs those worn-out areas in the cylinder wall thereby restoring cylinder compression and improving engine performance to nearly new original condition.

HOW DOES RESTORE WORK?
RESTORE is the only product that contains the proprietary CSL formula. This technologically advanced formulation has unique properties that actually fill in and seal micro-leaks in the cylinder wall. The result is increased engine compression and more engine power.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING RESTORE?
By using RESTORE on a regular basis at every oil change, you will keep the compression ratio of all cylinders at near original levels. You will feel the difference when you drive --- your vehicle will have more power, better acceleration and it will run smoother because the compression is balanced across all cylinders. In addition, if your engine is burning oil and smoking because of blow-by, RESTORE's CSL formula can solve that problem too. We are so confident that you will be happy with the results that we offer a full money-back guarantee if you're not completely satisfied!

IS RESTORE GOOD FOR MY ENGINE?
Yes, RESTORE is an EP (extreme pressure) lubricant that greatly enhances the lubrication of your vehicle's engine. This means better engine protection during start-up and heavy loading when motor oil breaks down and allows excessive wear of engine parts.

IS RESTORE COMPATIBLE WITH SYNTHETIC OIL?
Yes, Restore may be used with any type of mineral or synthetic motor oil.

CAN RESTORE BE USED IN DIESEL ENGINES?
Yes, Restore can be used in diesel engines.

CAN RESTORE BE USED IN ENGINES WITH TURBOCHARGERS?
Yes, Restore can be used in turbocharged engines.

CAN RESTORE BE USED IN LAWNMOWERS AND TRACTOR ENGINES?
Yes, Restore can be used as long as the engines are 4 stroke engines. When adding Restore to small engines such as lawnmowers, add 6 oz of Restore (one-half can of the 11oz size) when changing the oil. Be careful not to overfill the crankcase since you'll need to add less motor oil to compensate for adding Restore.

CAN RESTORE BE USED IN 2 STROKE ENGINES WHERE THE OIL IS MIXED WITH GASOLINE?
No, Restore is not formulated for use in 2 stroke engines.

WHEN SHOULD RESTORE BE ADDED TO THE ENGINE OIL?
For best results, Restore should be added when changing the oil & filter. To avoid overfilling be sure to reduce the amount of oil that you normally add by about a half quart.

Ametech RESTORE Engine Restorer and Lubricant can be used in both petrol and diesel engines. It can be used in cars, lorries, agricultural vehicles, construction plant, motorcycles, marine craft, garden equipment, power tools and many other appliances. How much Restore oil to use will depend on the size of your engine.

For a first time application in a motor vehicle we recommend 250ml of RESTORE to each litre of engine size or 20-25% RESTORE by volume to normal engine oil. For example a 1000cc vehicle you would need one 250ml can of RESTORE, for a 2 litre engine you would need two 250ml cans or our new 400ml can and for a 4-5 litre engine you would need one 1 litre can.

For repeat applications, at oil changes or annual services, one small 250ml can should be sufficient to keep your engine protected from future wear and in pristine condition.

A 4 stroke lawnmower, whether a push-mower or ride-on, just needs an egg-cup full of RESTORE in with the normal oil - but be careful not to over-fill the reservoir.

2 stroke engines like petrol-driven chain-saws, hedge-trimmers, strimmers and some lawnmowers which use a petroil mix, will just need a teaspoonful of RESTORE down the spark plug hole. You can also use RESTORE to lubricate the cutters on chainsaws and hedge-trimmers by spilling a few drops of RESTORE directly onto the blades and chain-bar.

CARL Jones would like to know what to do about his 150,000-mile 1998S Ford Galaxy, which smokes like a tramp-steamer. Carl, from Ormskirk, has been quoted £1,500 for an engine rebuild, but remembers mention of an engine restorer that can be poured into the sump. Would this be suitable for his Galaxy?

QUENTIN says: Yes. Pour in a can of Ametech Engine Restorer and you should see a dramatic difference. I've tried it on several motors, the latest being a 1991H Mercedes 190D that sounded like something from before the Industrial Revolution - 500 miles later and I can take my earplugs out. Officially tested in America, Ametech contains billions of micro-particles which fill scratches, grooves and imperfections on metal surfaces inside the engine. The test results revealed up to a 50 per cent increase in compression, while fuel consumption and power were also significantly improved. Trust me, it works.

Q. I BOUGHT a BMW 330 Ci Sport with 21k miles from a main dealer in February. As the weather was very cold, I put the ticking noise from its hydraulic tappets down to cold-starting. Now the weather has improved, but the noise has not. What do you reckon?

- Steve Thomas email.

A. IT'S no big deal, but it does sound like you have a dry tappet. The problem might go away if you flush the engine and change the oil and filter. You could also bung in a can of Ametech Engine Restorer. But given your 330 is still under warranty, you should go back to the dealer and get them to investigate.

Q. A WHILE back you mentioned a product that can help with wear on older engines. What was it? - Keith Stubbs, Bury

A. FOR all those people who have written in wanting to know how to get hold of Ametech Engine Restorer (which works for me), call 01728 726620.

Q. WE have an M-reg Vauxhall Carlton 3.0 GSi 24-valve, which we use for towing a caravan. It has 220,000 on the clock, but doesn't use a drop of oil. You recently referred to an oil additive which helps prolong an engine's life. Would it be worth using it in our Carlton? I was also talking to another Carlton owner who had his car converted to run on LPG. What are your views on this, given the age and mileage of our car? - Andrew Ashton, email.

A. IT'S grand to hear you've covered such an intergalactic mileage, but you have to remember that your Carlton isn't worth a fortune, so wouldn't justify the £1,500 or so to convert it to gas. By all means drop in a can of Ametech Engine Restorer, (01728 726620) which will help to prolong your engine's life, but I wouldn't make a major outlay. You'll never see it again.

Q. IN 2002 I bought a 1994 Honda Civic which has sailed through its MoTs ever since. It's now used very little (three times a week to get to work and the odd shopping trip), but I do still need it. What can I do to ensure its longevity? You often talk about replacing cambelts and special stuff to put in the engine. Would this help? - Jan, email

A. THERE'S no reason why your Civic shouldn't last another decade. Change the cambelt as soon as possible, and make sure you replace oil and filter every 5,000 miles, using synthetic oil, which doesn't degrade like mineral based oil. Ask your mechanic to put in Ametech Engine Restorer (01728 726620) at every oil change. Touch up any stone chips and also find yourself a friendly independent Honda specialist who can spot things before they fall off or break, and most importantly, won't charge you as much as £95 an hour.

Derek Ashurst's stepson owns a 1989 Reliant Rialto that has done 80,000 miles and smokes like a tramp-steamer. He was wrongly advised to change the head gasket, which has made no difference to the amount of smoke the Rialto chucks out, but Derek remembers mention of an engine oil additive that can reduce exhaust emissions. Would it help?

Quentin says: I recommend Ametech Engine Restorer for worn engines , but there is a limit. I think you're looking for a miracle on the scale of loaves and fishes with your stepson's Rialto, which sounds well and truly kippered. The bores must be seriously worn, with maybe a broken piston ring to boot, which is sucking up oil into the combustion chamber, burning it and billowing out clouds of acrid blue smoke. Frankly, I don't think you should spend any money on a car that's probably worth about twenty quid. Get your stepson into a newer, cleaner and safer motor. Just think of the pollution. Tell him to scrap the thing before someone reports him to the council.
