SEAL- UP INSTRUCTIONS

Part Number 1008 – Use in systems up to 6 gallon capacity

IMPORTANT: SEAL – UP WILL CLOG COOLING SYSTEM IF ANTIFREEZE IS PRESENT.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Drain and flush cooling system.
2. Fill radiator with water, replace radiator cap, idle engine until normal operating temperature is achieved.
3. With engine running, carefully remove radiator cap and add water to cover radiator core.
4. Shake SEAL – UP and pour into radiator. (Pour into cooling system only.)
5. Replace radiator cap and idle until leak stops (20 minutes minimum).
6. Stop engine, carefully remove radiator cap and open drain plugs.
7. Allow engine to sit for 12 hours (minimum 4 hours).
8. Flush remainder of SEAL – UP and water from engine.
9. Refill cooling system with proper mixture of water and coolant.

Tips for using QuikSteel

If you want QuikSteel to have a smooth, shiny finish, have a pan of water handy and dip your hand in it as you smooth out the QuikSteel.
You can form QuikSteel in a mold; just coat the mold first with an oil-based spray like PAM.
When repairing a leak in a water pipe or any pressure system, be sure to turn the water pressure off first. Make the repair, let QuikSteel cure, then turn the water or pressure back on.
After QuikSteel is fully cured, it can be exposed to any environment. It's impervious to water, solvents, fuels and acids, alkalines, oils, auto fluids, paint remover, and cleaners.
You can make underwater repairs -- in the swimming pool or under your boat -- but you'll need twice the time time for QuikSteel to set up and fully cure. The colder the water, the longer it takes QuikSteel to set up.

Tips for Using QuikSteel
For best results:

DynaGrip Permanent Threadlocker/Sealant is a specially developed Medium to High Strength Threadlocker, where controlled torque/tension is required. Lubricates during assembly, securing parts with High Strength retention, allowing disassembly when required.

APPLICATIONS

Where parts require locking but need to be disassembled. DynaGrip Permanent Threadlocker/Sealant resists vibration loosening and offers augmentation of on torque. On large diameter bolts or where there is a long engagement of the stud, the application of heat may be required for removal.

USEFUL HINTS/NOTES

DynaGrip Permanent Threadlocker/Sealant offers an advantage of Torque augmentation. Treated fasteners exhibit 20% + Breakloose to on Torque applied during assembly. Lubricating ability during assembly, medium to high strength locking action.

DESCRIPTION

DynaGrip Removable Threadlocker a general purpose Removable Medium Strength product. It will hold all metric, imperial or conventional sized nuts and bolts, meeting the requirements of over 80% of fastening applications. DynaGrip Removable Threadlocker does not run off or drip and does not migrate after assembly. Once applied, parts slip together easily, lubricated by the adhesive.

APPLICATIONS

Replaces lock washers and plastic inserts. Locks machine tool access bolts, studs, and hydraulic system bolts. Used on gear box bolts/driveshaft, bearing cover cap screws, counter sunk screws, conveyor roller bolts and construction equipment.

USEFUL HINTS/NOTES

Using DynaGrip Removable Threadlocker threadlocker is easy, the product is color coded blue and once cured, it seals and vibration proofs the assembly, giving controlled breakloose and prevailing torques. Using conventional tools you can disassemble parts. When force is applied, the parts breakloose (first movement) but it will take several turns before the cured film will stop resisting the turning action, thus ensuring against accidental component disassembly.

PRODUCT NAME: WICKING ADHESIVE AND SEALANT

DESCRIPTION

DynaGrip Wicking Adhesive And Sealant is a fast cure anaerobic securing compound which is very low in viscosity, thus enabling the wicking action to search into the voids in assembled components and cure anaerobically in the absence of air on close fitting metal parts.

APPLICATIONS

DynaGrip Wicking Adhesive Sealant prevents loosening of metal threaded fasteners and secures close fitting cylindrical parts, sealing the parts from leakage.

USEFUL HINTS/NOTES

DynaGrip Wicking Adhesive Sealant can also be used as a weld or porosity sealant and seeks out casting irregularities (hairline cracks). A unique capillary action allows the sealant to penetrate the smallest pores or cracks to provide a positive seal. The product can also fluoresce under UV lamps for inspection purposes.

PROPERTIES

A Fast Setting Anaerobic which wicks (by capillary action) into already assembled parts, searching into the voids to set into a strong insoluble polymer.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Ensure parts are clean, dry and free from oil and grease.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION

Product is normally hand applied from the bottle directly onto threaded parts, for weld porosity or hairline cracks in casting products, it is brushed directly onto the parts.

COMPATIBLE ACCELERATORS/PRIMER

Low temperature, larger gaps or passive substrates may require the use of Primer N or T. Using a primer to increase cure speeds impedes the products ability to wick and seal. While it can be used on threadlocking applications it is not recommended for sealing porosity or hairline cracks. The application of heat can accelerate cure speeds.

DynaGripTM Weatherstrip Adhesive is a black liquid of brushing viscocity made in Australia. It forms a strong, permanent bond between the following materials:

Rigid PVC Sheet, Polyurethane foams of the polyester and Polyether types, Supported PVC leather cloths, Leather, Polyester Glass Fibre, Rubber Sheet, Hardboard, Chipboard, Wood, Painted or Unpainted Metals, Rigid Laminated Plastics, Furniture, Footwear and much more.

DynaGripTM Weatherstrip Adhesive gives the best results when the two surfaces to be bonded are clean and dry.

DynaGripTM Weatherstrip Adhesive should be applied using either a brush or scraper to apply a thin even coating of adhesive to both surfaces.

Allow the solvent to evaporate before bonding. Permeable materials such as Leather or chipboard can usually be bonded within 2-3 minutes. Non-permeable materials such as Metals may require a minimum of 15 minutes before bonding. Bond the materials under firm pressure.

ENSURE ACCURATE PLACEMENT OF SURFACES WHEN BONDING AS THEY CANNOT BE MOVED ONCE PLACED TOGETHER. If some measure of ‘slide’ is required, you can bring the two surfaces together within 2-3 minutes of applying adhesive (permeable materials only). This technique is not recommended for non-permeable surfaces as solvent will be trapped between both joints and will reduce the strength of the bond.

DynaGripTM Weatherstrip Adhesive should be used in a WELL-VENTILATED AREA and AWAY FROM FLAMES/HEAT. This product is HIGHLY FLAMMABLE – FLASH POINT 30° C.

ENSURE PRODUCT IS STORED IN THE ORIGINAL CONTAINER WITH THE LID/CAP SECURELY TIGHTENED AND AWAY FROM HEAT SOURCES AND DIRECT SUNLIGHT.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant is a past like, one part material that cures to a rough rubbery solid upon exposure to moisture in the air. DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant does not run thus making it ideal for use in either overhead or vertically. DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant is formulated to meet or exceed OEM Volatility specifications for use near Engine Sensors.

PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES:

DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant will not corrode or NOT adhere to Copper, Brass Magnesium, Zinc, Galvanized Metal. This sealant is NOT recommended for use on Brick, Masonry and Cement Type surfaces. During curing, product will emit an Acetic Acid type smell. DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant has good resistance to weathering, vibration, moisture, ozone and extremes of temperature. It may be applied in sub-zero temperatures without the loss of extrusion or physical properties and is effective to –35oC. DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant can withstand temperatures of 232oC and intermittently 260oC. At temperatures of 25oC, and a relative humidity of 50% a tack free skin will form in 20 minutes. Tooling should be complete in 5-10 minutes. Curing time increases with the thickness of the joint. Metal to metal bonds should not be more that 25mm. Adhered to glass, metals and most woods DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant has a typical peel strength of 20lb/in2 after 72 hours curing at room temperature. When stored in a closed container at 32oC, DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant has a shelf life of 15 months. Although an acidic odour is given off during curing, this will not harm oxygen sensors and will disappear after curing is complete.

DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant is formulated to meet or exceed OEM Volatility specifications for use near Engine Sensors.

PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES:

DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant will not corrode or NOT adhere to Copper, Brass Magnesium, Zinc, Galvanized Metal. This sealant is NOT recommended for use on Brick, Masonry and Cement Type surfaces. During curing, product will emit an Acetic Acid type smell. DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant has good resistance to weathering, vibration, moisture, ozone and extremes of temperature. It may be applied in sub-zero temperatures without the loss of extrusion or physical properties and is effective to –35oC. DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant can withstand temperatures of 232oC and intermittently 315oC. At temperatures of 25oC, and a relative humidity of 50% a tack free skin will form in 20 minutes. Tooling should be complete in 5-10 minutes. Curing time increases with the thickness of the joint. Metal to metal bonds should not be more that 25mm. Adhered to glass, metals and most woods DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant has a typical peel strength of 20lb/in2 after 72 hours curing at room temperature. When stored in a closed container at 32oC, DynaGrip Low Volatile Automotive Sealant has a shelf life of 15 months. Although an acidic odour is given off during curing, this will not harm oxygen sensors and will disappear after curing is complete.
